Key compliance and other risks need to be identified and addressed in order to explore how board and institutional leaders stay actively engaged in understanding risk and monitoring the steps a college or university needs to take to mitigate risk. In this session, experts will discuss areas of risk (e.g. financial, emergency preparedness, safety, athletics, student life, employment, partnerships, and reputation), and the board’s role as an active mitigation player. Panelist will share ways to create a risk dashboard and its purpose as a good monitoring tool for boards and institutional leadership.
